not quite solo
Ivy always imagined her man would wear a suit to work, not to clean up after them. Of course, she didn't have time to dwell on this, these days with all the nauseousness sinking in with her pregnancy. She could barely make it to class some days at the Uni.
Still, she was thankful this hadn't happened in high school. And as furious as she was with Will for letting this happen, she knew she shouldn't blame him, but she didn't want this to be her fault.
Actually, he didn't have that much to do with it. Like he said, it was up to her to be prepared for these sort of life chapters. Of course, he was off living with that girl who had a baby. Ivy knew she shouldn't judge, but sometimes, it kept her from dwelling on her own problem.
But nobody seemed to be acting like it was a problem at home. Her mom was working fulltime downtown at some corporation. Brian was still being passionate Brian who was her first and only lover.
It was she who needed to get on with things.
"You are not alone," Winne started out as if she might have created her own religion. "You're going to have a baby so you have to share your body and soul with it." Winnie made her a soup she used to suffice on during her pregnancy. Winnie was still addicted to Dr. Pepper. Winnie vowed this was the only thing that got her through morning sickness. "You need to embrace it."
Winnie smiled so as if this challenge shouldn't bring Ivy down. Winnie went to pick of her little one, as to show Ivy the end results.
Ivy guessed it was easier said than done. She winced hard. She knew she was scared. Facing the fact that the next nine months was more than a prison sentence. It would be for life. And as precious as it felt so did the horror of something going wrong. She might as well have been a trapeze artist.
