Oh, what fun...
It started with a headache at Thanksgiving when Bo showed up to see Rosie. Sure, Sunny guessed he was pleasant enough, but Sunny couldn't hang around with a watchful eye, he needed sleep to get ready for Black Friday.
Of course, he didn't get enough sleep and he couldn't be a cheery reindeer like Micah, who might have been a flower boy in another life. It was like entering a whole new world at the department store and Sunny felt so lost as if he couldn't think for himself.
At least there was Diago to guide him. After all, with Sunny's tall limbs he was there to reach for items in out of reach places and haul most of it from the back of the store to the front of the store. Of course, no one ever mentioned he'd be a cashier by the afternoon.
"You can handle it," Diago promised. "If I can do it, you can certainly do it."
Sunny felt so timid, knowing he should be worried about Rosie and her old boyfriend, but he didn't have time. He was learning new skills at the speed of light. He could count money in his sleep now. Yes, it was exhausting, but at least he had a job now.
