How can it be
"I think," Ollie started, knowing Valentina wouldn't like to hear this, but it was obviously the truth. "If a guy makes a guy crepes in the morning...something's gotta be going on." He shook his head. Why was she so worried about Jools?
"You, you just don't understand." She winced hard and he noticed the frustration in her voice. "It's not like that. Stop trying to say it's like that."
Ollie sighed wishing she'd be thinking about anything but about Jools and Evan.
"They'll figure it out," Ollie told her. "Just leave them alone."
"But.." She couldn't finish her sentence even if she was trying to clean up the coffee shop and checking her sock critter inventory. Lots of folks were buying the creatures. Of course, Jools helped her with a lot of the stuffed animals. "I don't understand."
"Maybe, he woke up." Ollie shrugged. "Maybe, it wasn't like you thought it was with Joley, or even with you." He knew he shouldn't have said it.
She was practically in tears. All he could do was give her hug. He was sure she would come around and support her friend.
"You know, it would be good for both of them. You're a good friend of Evan's. And Evan has always been there for you, too. Jools has been friends with him since he got here." Ollie guessed he'd said too much, but she had to remember this wasn't about them, but supporting their friends.
