"Well, hello stranger," Bom's words only made Liam more bitter. He didn't want to talk to her. He checked his phone once more. Still, nothing from Lizzy.
He couldn't bear to go on like this. They hadn't talked since they'd slept together. He thought they'd had a fantastic night. After all, it had been a night of kissing. He guessed it was passionate. Although, he couldn't say if it was real sex. Was that the problem?
He winced hard. His teeth clenched. Did he do something wrong?
"Oh, I think you've changed," Bom smirked as he made another row of crochet.
"How," His eyes grew wide. "How do you know?"
"You aren't so worried about video games anymore." She shrugged, then asked. "How's that girl of yours?"
Liam paced about as if was waiting for an operation of some kind to be over. Finally, his phone rang. It was Lizzy.
He was relieved to find out that her brother was in town as she was showing him around.
"He wants to meet you," Lizzy said.
Liam felt faint. He wasn't sure he was ready for this.
