What is it about Cass?

He didn't want to be anyone's problem. Still, he hadn't gotten very far with his art degree. He didn't have the gusto to be a children's art teacher. However, he'd made ends meet being a substitute. But no one seemed to need an art teacher anymore.

He couldn't help it that he didn't draw. Still, he used his hands. He loved to create with paper. Even while they had nothing at times at the coffee shop, he found himself folding paper.

"You just made that flower, right now?" The girl Bom was full of smiles. He gave it to her and told her he could make a sunflower from a coffee filter.

"Seriously?" Her enthusiasm was encouraging. She looked over at the blank wall. "Could you cover it in flowers, or butterflies?"

Cass shrugged. He guessed so. If he didn't over think it. It was best to just do it and not wonder about it.

"Oh, it would feel like spring if you did it." Her laugh was soft. Cass couldn't help but smile. He felt as if he'd made a friend. He hoped. Other wise, he knew he should shut up and go along with the humdrum world.

Bom hugged herself, keeping the laughter in. "I want to see you do it." She told him where she lived, and even got his number.

"Its just work related," she promised. After all, she did have a boyfriend. "But I want to see some of your work." She didn't ask for anything in particular. She hoped he would show her how to make paper flowers.
