Ivy's got a lot on her mind these days. Thinking about how it will be a mom come this early summer. Still, she is worried about her mom. What is up with her and her new boss Dylan.
"Are you his housekeeper too?" She couldn't help but blurt, once she caught up with her mom who usually doesn't come home until it's dark. "I know you didn't even come home on Valentine's day."
Her mom only smiled. "I had no idea you cared when I came home, these days." Her mother reminded her that she wasn't the best daughter in the world. After all, who did all the cleaning at home? It certainly wasn't Ivy. Brian did their laundry and took out the trash. Still, he was working fulltime at the University. He did enough cleaning for a living.
Ivy only sighed ever so restless. "What's your point?" Ivy snapped.
Her mother brought it to her attention that she worried a lot about her, but this seemed to be the first time Ivy noticed anything out of the ordinary about her.
Ivy was in a pout not sure she could think of a comeback line. Her brother was away at medical school now. It was hopeless that he would even care what their mother was up too.
"Well, I do care," Ivy stressed that she was tired from worry. She put her hands on her lower back. That's when she noticed the tightness making her so weak she was ready to buckle.
Was that a labor pain she was feeling? It couldn't be. Of course, she had no idea what one would feel like.
