if it's not one thing

Graduation was right around the corner and Sunny would be a graduate. That didn't mean he was leaving home. He would go to the nearby University.

Matty was fine with that. After all, he had a girl on his mind. Only, he didn't have the courage to ask her her name. If only he could think of this in his solitude, in his room.

Unfortunately, Byron moved in. Matty had to stop himself from rolling his eyes at the middle schooler. Afterall, Xander and Ducky took him in after his parents got into a domestic ordeal. Byron was Dakota's friend.

"Why couldn't he move in with her family?" Matty finally asked Xander about it while Byron was taking over the gaming system in the livingroom.

"Because, they don't foster kids," Xander sighed, as if maybe Byron might be a little much. "We do."

They were waiting for the final papers on adopting Matty. Now, Matty had to wonder if they would do the same for Byron.

"It's just temporary. I'm sure his mom is doing all she can right now." Xander's smile was a little weak, but it was as if he had faith in the matter.

Matty shook his head. It felt like this summer would be trouble, all because of Byron.

"Well, I'm going to look for work this summer." Matty nodded. He was old enough for a job. It would be the best reason to be out of the house if Byron was going to be here.

Xander nodded as if that would be a good idea. "But, you can hang out with Byron," Xander told him Byron needed someone like him in his life.
