the point is
Dylan didn't want Laliah to worry. After all, she'd be a grandmother any second now. Still, he knew he'd never be a detective in another life, but he did some digging and finally found a way to talk to Shiloh.
Of course, the kid might have been a genius or an idiot. Dylan guessed he got lucky. After all, Shiloh wanted to know where Janine had gone. He was eager to find her.
"I didn't know what had happened." He told Dylan she was the best thing that ever happened to him. After all, they liked music and they liked the guitar.
"Um, are you sure, that's all it was?" Dylan asked with a sly wink when they met up at truckstop on the outskirts of town.
"She, she was the best friend in the world. We did everything together." Shiloh was serious. "It..it just hasn't been the same." He was heartbroken and practically suicidal. "I was just so glad you called." Shiloh pressed his lips tight. It seemed he didn't know about the baby. "Are you her uncle or something?" He wanted to know while they were drinking coffee.
"Um, well..kind of." Dylan would leave it at that. He then asked him if he knew Jay.
Shiloh shook his head, no.
"He was before my time, you know, in high school. I heard he dropped out and was at Boystown for a bit, but ran away from there." This much Shiloh knew.
Dylan felt the teen might know more about Janine's husband than he did.
"I guess, he was friends with her brother," Shiloh shrugged. "What about him?"
Dylan shook his head. He didn't really want to tell him about Jay and Janine, but he knew he had, too.
