Graduation was here, and Sunny wondered if he should break up with Rosie. It had been on his mind for a while, but he hadn't mentioned it to her.
A part of him thought it was the right thing to do. She had one more year of high school and he would be at the nearby University.
Still, he thought it would be the worst thing to do, at the moment. Actually, anytime.
"You know, you're too good for me," Sunny told her after graduation. There were parties to get too, but he decided, he'd rather be with her.
He knew things hadn't changed much for her at home. She still lived with relatives, but not her Dad. He'd hate to upset her. Besides, this was their life.
To some, he knew it wasn't quite as exciting, but they were still moving forward. Rosie was looking into college classes already. She hoped to go into nursing or maybe teaching. Honestly, he didn't even know what he wanted to do.
All he thought at the moment was that she was important to him. Somehow, they would manage to get through this year.
"Stop saying such silly stuff." She smiled at him. "I have a surprise for you."
He looked at her puzzled, thinking what did she really want to do.
He could only smile back. "Let's go on a roadtrip." She danced around him as if it was time to go.
"What?" He looked at her blankly.
His Dad drove up in the mini-van, already in casual attire for driving. His brother Sid was with them, along with everyone else in Sunny's family.
"Let's go to Worlds of Fun," his other Dad said.
Sunny guessed this wasn't that serious of a day, after all.
