It's like a love song
Gabby lost herself in art. It was a dazzling summer of being in one art class after another and hanging out with Arlo for every second. It was as if she'd been cured of something.
No sad thoughts of her so-called best friend who was in a coma. There was no sly eagerness to corner her boyfriend Torry and manipulate him with all her flirting.
Perhaps, she'd found her calling. Art.
Except, her mother didn't think that was so wise. Why would she major in art?
Naturally, Gabby didn't listen. Especially, when Arlo was around. Oh, he was fascinating. She couldn't imagine him not being special.
Still, she knew she fell in love easily. And she could fall out of love just as bad. Even in her flawed thinking she couldn't let Arlo go. She loved the way he moved. He was like his very own painting, and she needed to study it, possibly absorb every moment with him.
Now if she could only get him to come closer. Closer. Until she could really be a part of him.
