Sid & Cher

It was so unexpected, but Cher was ready to go on a road trip with Sid.

"Are you sure about this?" Maybe they were rushing into this relationship, too soon.

"I've always wanted to go to Worlds of Fun." She told him on the drive there that her roommate Rachel was definitely full of envy. It wasn't just any day you could go to Worlds of Fun for free.

Sid gritted a smile. That was Sunny's dads doing. He didn't have money like that. Although he was paying for the motel room they would spend the night in. Xander and Ducky supplied lots of snacks along the way so possibly this was within Sid's budget. Cher pitched in too. Even though, he told her he didn't need her funds. He wanted this to be a totally free trip for her.

But on the midway, she bought ice cream for him after several rides in the humid heat. After all, they would need to go to the water park to cool off.

They both talked about how there were so many thing they hadn't done yet.

"But, I find travel rather exhausting." She was a rather stationary person. He nodded in agreement. He felt the same way too. Perhaps, it was anxieties, but he did find satisfaction in the little things, like working on the house he was buying with Diago and his girlfriend.

"I don't think I would want to be here with anyone else." He let her know by the end of the day. "I love listening to you."

"But..but I don't even talk that much." She almost laughed at his observation.

"Oh, but you do." He noticed it in the way she moved. He was even smitten by the way she ate with such joy.

For the first time, Sid thought he might be floating on air. And when he smiled to her now, it was true, she was the kind of happiness he'd been waiting for.

She wasn't the girl who needed more. Her way of thinking was a lot like his own. Although, she came from a big family. She was used to hand-me-down and small spaces. Maybe they were more alike than he expected.

Still, she left him thinking he hadn't lived a sad life after all. She was kind and it was a comfort to be around her. Perhaps, this was the beginning of their adventures together.
