isn't it lovely

Actually, Robby couldn't imagine a summer quite this good. Just to think, he was only searching for a pecan pie and he found Valentina.

So much for his Dad's divorce, Robby knew there was nothing to do about that. After all, his dad just kept getting married, but none of them lasted. He'd found a new job in Omaha. Something to do with engineering and building design. He was glad to leave Fort Worth behind.

Honestly, he wasn't looking for love since he didn't think he'd want to have a part of it, after watching his dad suffer so much.

How could it be so simple?

At least, he didn't question it. Instead, he'd embraced it because he didn't know what to really expect.

Yes, she made him smile and he liked exploring her world of creativity. He'd never imagined he'd like helping her make so many things with her hands.

He was no scientist. He wasn't even a good student. But it was a good feeling to be by her side. If only his dad could find something so true. But the summer just got better.

Maybe he needed to be looking for a job and finding more clients in the neighborhood to manicure their lawns. At the moment, he was happy to be around Valentina.

Oh, she did make his heart beat a new rhythm. He didn't feel so alone, anymore.
