where the boys are
"What? Homecoming?" Torry let out a sigh. He thought by now his brothers would be on the next plane home, but Casey seemed to be settled in the kitchen on his laptop and phone and now Chance was going to Homecoming.
Of course, he thought they were only a distraction. He really wanted to focus on Bree when he wasn't teaching, but Arlo was taking on so much of the art projects now. Torry couldn't say if he was dazed or confused.
"Hey, it's not so bad here," Chance's open grin gave off the expression that he might actually like living with Torry. Chance was in no hurry to get home. "Maybe, I'll start classes at the Uni next semester.
Torry almost rolled his eyes. He knew Chance wasn't all that serious about his studies.
"What? You met someone?" Torry wanted to know.
"Not exactly, but her photo was pretty sweet." Chance acted as if he was certain he was going to love his blind date at Homecoming.
Torry winced. He shook his head no as his fingertips touched his forehead. "I better not regret this." He was straight lipped then.
"Who do you think I am?" His little brother smirked. "I never went to homecoming." He shrugged.
"Precisely." Torry looked at him blankly. This was all so new to him. He hadn't been with his brothers in ages.
Granted, Casey still liked to cook and stay to himself. He was a bit of recluse. He still wasn't sure how Arlo got them here.
Of course, Bree was home from the hospital now and had no interest in seeing him. Her uncle treated him as if he was the one who put her in a coma to begin with.
Perhaps, he should let it go just like his older brother said and Chance agreed with him too. Didn't he want to get tickets for the next University home game? It didn't look like Torry would be home alone, anytime soon.
