Gabby stood her ground, even if she'd made so many worried. She knew her mom was mad, but her dad was thankful she came home. Only it wasn't to stay.
So they'd worked out this deal. After all, she was married to Jared now. They would help out with the apartment rental, but for only three months. She had her savings too. And Jared's brother gave them some old furniture to help them with living expenses.
But she could see no one thought this would last. Who ran away to get married anymore?
Still, she loved the idea of this fresh start. And she was with Jared who was probably the only one who could make her laugh..even in bed.
"I think we should stay home for Thanksgiving," she told her new husband Jared.
"But we can't," His smile was infectious. "I already told Liam and Lizzy we'd join them." All they needed to do was bring a salad and maybe sweets. He said his peanut butter fudge was to die for and it was only two ingredients. He also wanted to try making a Snicker's salad.
"But..won't be that a sweet too?" Gabby laughed, thinking about how her parents got up early to make the homemade stuffing.
Oh, well, they could do their taste testing in their very own kitchen now. Seriously, she was happy with her new future with Jared. No matter what anyone said.
