What to do about Jay

The holidays were coming and suddenly Ivy wanted to know where their so called brother-in-law was.

"He's not a part of us, you shouldn't care," Brian was closed-lip about it. Still he hadn't been himself since kicking Jay out. At least, they didn't fight.

But he hadn't called nor text and Ivy felt the need to want to be needed during the holidays. After all, all was right with them in the world. Brian had a full-time job, their little family was cozy and sweet. Yet, she felt a little sad now that things ended the way they did with Jay.

Of course, he wasn't truly family, but Brian grew up with him. He'd been Brian's little sister's man for some time. But that was done and his sister had moved on, but what about Jay.

Brian rolled his eyes when she mentioned they should invite him to Thanksgiving. His sister wouldn't be here. It would be a small dinner. Evidently, he would do the cooking since she didn't know-how. Her mother would be at her boyfriend's.

Brian wasn't sure if he could even find him. "He won't even return my calls," Brian told her.

"We have to try," Ivy knew it was the right thing to do, but was it too late?

  1. You haven't written about Jay in so long. I've missed him. I have wondered what he's been up too. Glad Ivy and Brian are still together.
