nobody said there would be weeks like this

Amira couldn't say when it exactly happened, but she was with Ste now, night and day.

1. the sandwich shop she worked at closed.

2. she didn't know where to go.

3. everyone was missing her sandwiches.

4. it was a no brainer according to Ste.

So she set up shop and it had been steady since. She lived with him above the bakery and somehow it was sublime.

Oh, she wouldn't go into details, but that Ste was something. Maybe it was the way he liked to wrap his arms around her when he could, or that smile.

"Of course, he's good to me," she told Lynsey over the phone.

"I know you're in love," Lynsey said. "I can hear it in your voice."

Amira could only smile. Yes, they might lose everything in this pandemic, but somehow they went on. There was a lot of support from the community, and they gave back as much as they could to first responders and those in the health field. Amira couldn't think of any other place she would want to be.
