when it rains it pours
Minnie could sense it the moment she arrived at Ivy's. The door was unlocked, but no one was home.
Of course, she had her little ones with her and a picnic basket of food for Ivy from the Memorial Day celebration at Omaha's.
It was such an eerie feeling seeing the unmade bed, the cup of tea old and cloudy in its cup. Something had happened here.
She called Josh right away, who told her not to get involved. He assured her she was all right and not to try to be some superhero and try to kick someone's ass. He knew of her ways, and she wasn't that wild girl she used to be.
She called Bom next and told her Ivy was missing. Before she knew it, Brian was on the phone, asking her what she was talking about.
"I haven't seen Jay in weeks," Minnie couldn't help to be emotional.
"Maybe he came and got her and they just left," Brian was calm and indifferent as if he didn't care what happened to Ivy now. They were finished.
"I don't think so," Minnie could only think of Lenny. She knew of him. He'd been a mystery to her even if for a time she was probably his biggest fangirl and now she thought the worst.
