Keir didn't want to think it true, but Lizzy might have been taking up most of his time since she got back to town. Of course, this left little time with Liam who seemed to be more stoic than ever. Keir thought he might be happy when he offered him to work at his father's company. It was in a warehouse, but still, the pay was good and it was full-time.
"Don't worry about it," Liam sounded to be in a slump. Keir could hear it in his voice. After all, Liam didn't text like he used to. Luckily, Liam picked up the phone.
"What's the matter?" Keir wanted to know, "Are you OK?"
Liam didn't say much other than things were fine. Except his parents were tired of sending him money and he might have to find a roommate, but he didn't want to.
Keir felt bad about not hanging out with him, but he was busy going out with Lizzy, who loved practically doing nothing with him. Keir felt so excited about life, but he didn't want to let it show. It was fun to have something to do. Still, he wanted to help his friend.
Naturally, Liam said everything was fine, but he was being tight-lipped.
"Are you sure that's all it is?" Keir knew he wouldn't tell him. "Look, I know it might be hard to ..to work at the same place I work, but..but.."
"I have a job," Liam clarified. He'd been bumped up to customer service which meant he sold lottery tickets to mostly old ladies. He sighed as if he couldn't take another old woman fangirling him.
"Are you sure you don't like it?" Keir couldn't help but smile.
"Oh, don't you go there," Liam told him he'd done just about everything at that grocery store, he'd even unclogged toilets.
"Well, I'm going to look around, see if I can help you," Keir decided. It was the least he could do. Naturally, Lizzy was on the other line waiting for him to get back to her. She wanted him to come over and watch a movie with her.
Hope he sorts himself out

A decent job is the key to everything. You've got a job, you get money, friends, roommates. Liam should concentrate on finding a decent job. Perhaps Keir could help.
