"Well, that was sweet of you to think of me?" Bom smiled at Liam and gave him a pat on the back. She looked over her shoulder and saw that Keanu already approved of Emily. He was already chatting her up about some TV show she knew of.
"Um, she's afraid I don't want anyone to know that..that we're dating," He almost winked when he said it, and Bom tried not to laugh.
"I'm glad you're behaving," she nodded with a smile and asked them to stay for dinner. Brian would be home any minute.
Liam only sighed as if he wanted to leave before Brian got here.
"Oh, come on," Bom's brow furrowed. "I don't live with a bear. You'll be fine."
"Will I?" He looked at her as if she was wrong about a lot of things in her life.
"Speaking of which, you are invited to a wedding." She handed him an envelope.
"A wedding, but what about COVID?"
"Oh, it's just us, Minnie and her bunch, and the guy who lives above their garage. He said he could officiate it. " Bom shrugged. "Just cake and ice cream. No need to bring a thing."
Liam studied the handwritten invitation while she went to get lemonade for him and Emily.
"Sure." Liam slipped the envelope into his back pocket. "Does this mean I get to walk you down the aisle?"
"Why would you do that?" She looked at him as if he was just being silly.
"You always said I was just like a little brother you never had," Liam smirked.
"Oh, I don't think I'm walking down any aisle. It's just in Minnie and Josh's backyard." She shook her head, no.
"What about Joon? Does he know?" Liam asked as if Bom forgot someone important. Her step-brother.
"Damn, I knew I'd forget somebody." Bom winced and rubbed her forehead. How could she forget Joon. Of course, she hadn't seen her step-brother in ages. She doubted he cared.
Un capítulo genial, me esta gustando la historia. Besos
ReplyDeleteDue to covid pandemic, we now avoid attending weddings.
ReplyDeleteyes, pandemic getting bad now days....
ReplyDeleteA wedding invitation sounds nice in these somehow gloomy days.
ReplyDeleteLiam saved family honor by reminding Bom of her step brother, to be invited to the wedding too.
Hmm
ReplyDeleteThere are limits on how many people can attend a wedding here. I think it's around 50.
ReplyDeleteAhhh1
ReplyDeletevery excited chapter!!!
I love it
Kisses ♥
Hello!! oohh a really good chapter.
ReplyDeleteBlessings!!
Weddings have divided so many during the time of COVID; I'm curious to see who attends and who declines.
ReplyDeletexx
I would say just a week ago everything here was fully opened with full venues..but after the news today..I dunno.
DeleteHope it works out :-)
ReplyDeleteUy una boda, genial fragmento. Esperando ver que pasa. Te mando un beso
ReplyDeletemaybe her stepbrother cares more than she thinks.
ReplyDeletei had my wedding during the Covid time:) but we invited not so many people nearly only family
ReplyDeleteThat's what this kind of wedding is. I saw some cute photos of a distant cousin who had her out on an uncle's farm. Just a few family members were there, but it was still very sweet.
DeleteVery interesting ;)
ReplyDeleteWedding ceromonies may happens but everyone who want to join it worry about the Covid-19 outbreak.
ReplyDeleteVery interesting
ReplyDeleteThings are progressing nicely with Liam and Emily. Also, once again, you so cleverly lower the boom on this simple cake-and-ice-cream wedding by having Liam mention Bom's forgotten stepbrother. Where there are families, there are complications!
ReplyDeleteBy the way, thanks so much for your comments. It's nice to know that I'm not the only one who's bad with directions :)
I don't think she's actually forgotten him. If it hadn't been for her she would have never came to America. Although, it wasn't for brotherly love. She'd been in love with him long before they were siblings while studying for the civil tests back in Seoul which neither passed very well. Although, he was over his feelings for her..he still kind of looked down at her (even if he was friends with Liam). So maybe it's best if they didn't see each other during the wedding. Besides, he moved away with his own family.
