on the outs

"Is it that strange?" Koda wanted to know. He and Simon were at the old Downtown Diner cleaning up. They didn't see each other often but on occasion.

"Um, it must have been awkward, for both of you." Simon nodded, but he knew early on from their conversations that Koda really did like women's clothes. "I was afraid something like this might happen." He sighed. "But I'd hope she'd have been more understanding." He shook his head. Honestly, he thought Koda would be better off without Vanna.

Koda went back to cleaning the stovetop. He nursed his bottom lip in thought. "I just didn't think Vanna would get this upset."

"I know she wants to come off as the coolest, but you must have really caught her off guard if you were wearing something she planned to wear for Valentine's Day."

Koda knew he was in the wrong. If only she hadn't come home when she did, he kept saying and Simon only smiled.

"You wanted to get caught, bro," Simon gave him a lopsided smile and then a pat on the back. "You are my Harry Styles."

Koda only sighed.

"See, the thing is, I could have rocked that outfit. Take Chevy, he would have really rocked that dress better than the both of us, but I just don't want to and Chevy." Simon cracked up. "He'd never go near a dress. But you..um, you're just funny. I figured Vanna would think it funny too."

"I don't know what to think," Koda said they hadn't really talked much since the incident and Valentine's day was rather silent. But he did cook her favorites and she did eat.

"Well, she didn't kick you out," Simon said as he went to put some pots and pans away for a fresh new day.

Koda nodded. Still, he wasn't so sure how to fix this.

  7. Aaaaaw...poor Koda, but I do think he wanted to get caught and not have to hide it anymore. Ellie, your stories are always so interesting!
PS Thank you as always for your awesome comment! I always find out about these awesome shows from you! I haven't seen any BL Korean dramas yet, but Boarding House and the Cherry Blossoms one sound really good! Will add to my to-check out lists, which are now long because of you! Hahaha

  9. It's good that Koda is talking this out with someone. And I think Simon's right; Koda wanted to get caught. It's interesting when Simon thinks that Koda would be better off without Vanna. It's true that she doesn't seem like the most sensitive person. Then again, she has her own stuff going on, and Koda will never know how she really feels unless he starts the conversation. Or unless she starts the conversation. Thought-provoking as always, Ellie.

Also, thanks for including my plaid in your collage! I was psyched to see it.
And thanks so much for your comments! That dream you had about meeting Michael Stipe in a bookstore, just, whoa! I think my favorite part was how you didn't want to bother him, LOL. :)
