Maisy guessed it was nice having dinner with Vanna and Koda. Of course, everyone was on their best behavior and they hadn't done a lot. Just the meal and talk. Oh, all that talk. Maisy wanted to clean up the cluttered place. Those shelves were a mess, but then again she knew it was just her disorder talking, or so Harrison would tell her so. She just couldn't help herself, sometimes. It was just annoying, but she tried to be who Harrison needed her to be.
Vanna was blunt, bu she knew that going in. Vanna was so loud, and it was if she expected Maisy to be louder. As if she would want to have a disco party or something.
"What do you like to do?" Vanna finally asked after dinner of chicken and pasta and then pie from the deli.
"Well, there is my outfit I'm working on for the Renaissance fair coming up," Maisy shrugged. "It's a Viking outfit."
"Viking outfit?" Vanna made it sound so absurd.
"It's very historical," Maisy said she studied a lot about it at the library and Cade and Mercer helped her find more books from other libraries to get the outfit historically correct. Both Cade and Mercer helped handsewing the vest, the blouse and skirt. "We're just not sure what I should do about the boots."
"Oh," Vanna nodded as if that was nice to know, but Maisy knew Vanna didn't know what she was talking about.
"I went to a pirate wedding once," Vanna told her. Of course, she was practically in middle school back then, but she thought that was where the Renaissance fair would be.
"I've never gone to anything where there were pirates," Maisy shook her head, no.
"Well, they have pirate weekends all of August," Vanna spoke as if she knew the pumpkin patch very well.
"I've never been," Maisy said, just like she wanted this conversation to end. What in the world did she get herself into? Naturally, Harrison and Koda were hitting it off. They were planning a fishing trip and some horrible car show to go to.
Seriously, she didn't know which was worse, an airhead like Vanna to talk to or wishing she never had to see Harrison's cousin Remi again. Maisy wanted to scream. She was beginning to think she hated everything just like her mother.
Muy bueno <3

Poor Maisy
ReplyDeleteVanna lol. Can you imagine her at the Ren faire? She'd either love it or drive everyone nuts complaining about it? Ha :)
ReplyDeletei am very curious of this viking outfit:D

Maisy's dinner with Vanna and Koda sounds good: chicken, pasta, deli pie.
ReplyDeleteNow as for the historical, viking outfit Maisy's working at, I wish we could get a photo of it.
Oh, wow. This dinner did not go well! I usually make allowances for Vanna, but I couldn't help but be annoyed that she wasn't nicer to Maisy. Then again, Koda and Harrison hitting it off may mean that they need to learn to get along. I can't wait to see how it all unfolds!
ReplyDeleteI love the greens and the reds in the collage! And, of course, the succulent! 💖🌵💖🌵💖🌵💖🌵💖🌵
This is my first reading about a pirate wedding
