"You gotta stop being so hard on her?" Eli sighed. Maybe he was just a little out of it with all the snow shoveling as of late, but he was pretty tired of listening to Amy talk about her Mom. They were sitting in the limelight of the TV with darkness all around. Of course, they were in their favorite hoodies and choice of sporty pants. But their shoes were off and it was all so cozy.
"But..but she's supposed to be home, all by herself, why can't she leave me alone?" Amy practically wailed before she stuffed her mouth with popcorn from the huge bowl she was holding. Of course, most of it spilled on his couch, but it didn't keep him from eating it while they were watching that movie they weren't supposed to watch on Prime, Saltburn.
Of course, neither thought it was all that bad. Naturally, Eli had to turn on the subtitles. Still, he thought it was a naturally good script and the cinematography was pretty great. He didn't want to let on that he was actually a serious film buff because he figured Amy would just say, "Oh, you just want to be in the buff."
He put it on pause. Knowing this meant they could not go on with the film. He'd come back later and watch the whole thing by himself, because he wanted to know what made it so special. Was it just the performance of the main actor who wasn't really Hollywood-perfect? Was it really that weird? Oh, he loved weird. But he would not cross the line. He was after all your pretty much run-of-the-mill kind of kid. Always had been. Yeah, he wouldn't think of himself as being unusual. But God, he felt pretty amazing when he was with Amy and he'd put up with just about any rot she'd spill about herself or her family. Eli did his best to keep from smiling.
"It's probably my fault," he shrugged and she took a sip of soda as if it might be time for a makeout break. It was kind of like an improv. Yeah, that's what it was he now though. Whatever, it was a rush... a passion. Really, it was so hard to watch a movie with her lately.
"What do you mean?" She was always oblivious to these sorts of things when it came to her folks. Couldn't she just guess.
"She's a lesbian, you know," Eli was a bit sleepy-eyed about the matter, but he took a sip of Bubbly he'd spiked with red wine. "So..you know what that means." Eli gave her a look out of the corner of his big eyes and then a smirk.
"What?" Amy didn't know.
"She wants you to be a lesbian too."
"But I don't want to be a lesbian," she pouted.
"Precisely," he went back to his drink and downed the whole thing. He smiled at her then and kissed her until he was lying on top of her on the couch.
He felt her heart like thunder. Of course, his heartbeat was just as fast. Honestly, it made him laugh and then she laughed. They kissed again as if they knew their lip moves like precision.
All the moves...
ReplyDeletehaha that was good with this lesbian twist;D
ReplyDeleteNice
ReplyDeleteOh, an emotional episode... I like it :)
ReplyDeleteEli felt good about Amy, yet he was hardly able to watch a movie with her. They kissed and that ended the episode for them.
ReplyDeleteUy que tierna escena me encantó. Te mando un beso.
ReplyDeleteOh, what a tender scene I loved. I send you a kiss.🩷🩷🩷🩷🩷🩷 Thanks! I wasn't sure how anyone would respond to this since it is probably the opposite direction of what you see these days. Of course, Amy does have her battles with her mom. Possibly, it's because her mother has practically been nonexistence until now.
Deletethe last dialogues are interesting....
ReplyDeleteA powerful begining of a teenie novel

Hello!!
ReplyDeleteThis never-ending story always has so many twists and turns!!!
Hugs!
It's fun getting to know Eli and Amy and what makes them tick. This part made me laugh:
ReplyDelete' "He didn't want to let on that he was actually a serious film buff because he figured Amy would just say, "Oh, you just want to be in the buff." "
By the way, I have been walking around the house to get my exercise, mostly up and down the stairs. And I've been working on a delivery playlist too. I used to laugh at women who did that, thinking, how would that help?! But now I get that anything you can plan to keep your mood up is a plus! 👟🎵
