Now here you go again

"She probably hates me," Izzy needed to talk to someone about Lily. At least, there was Harley, who was always up for some thrifting. Since she quit working at the school, there was more time for excursions and she drove down to Lincoln. After all, the snow was thawing and it felt almost like spring.

"I wouldn't worry about it," Harley told her she doubted Lily even noticed. "You know how she is, she's a very ME person."

"I guess, but maybe that visit from Brick's grandmother worried her," Izzy agreed. She just didn't like this feeling.

"Just think about about a wedding this summer, OK?" Harley smiled back at her.

"Aren't you worried about Brick at all?" Izzy frowned, thinking how could Harley be over her high school boyfriend.

"Oh, he's a big boy, it'll hit him sooner or later," Harley shrugged about the matter, "There is only so much you can do."

"I told you about Mercer, didn't I?"

"Yeah, that was sweet of him to have a Valentine's date," Harley said she hoped he was moving on.

"What did you and Rain do?" Izzy had to ask as she found a cardigan that would be great for spring.

"Just stayed in."

"Is that all you did?" Izzy teased.

"We watched War of the Gargantuas."

"Oh." Izzy nodded wondering if that was code for something else. She'd noticed a change in Harley after living with Rain. She had a feeling they might be more than roomies.

Of course, Harley moved on to the bags. She'd discovered a Ted Baker tote for only $4.99.

  1. Harley is happy living with Rain and move on, so why should she not over her high school boyfriend??

PS I'm gonna check out Study Group! I renewed our Viki again coz my youngest is so into Kdrama right now (she's watching Full House), so I can start watching Asian shows again:D Hope you're having a great Tuesday so far, Ellie!

  10. A light, relatable conversation where Izzy’s concerns clash with Harley’s carefree attitude, highlighting friendship, past relationships, and subtle changes in dynamics.
