Unbelievable, unforgettable

"I feel like I've been pregnant well over a year!"

Even Ruby couldn't believe she said that over the phone, but she was frustrated. Was the baby ever coming?

Gabby was on the other end, trying to soothe her thoughts with, "It hasn't been that long. You can do this. You'll be fine."

After all, Ruby's bag was packed. She'd unpacked it and repacked it several times. In the beginning, she'd put in all the sexy things she could think of as if it might be fun being the sexiest mom there, but then reality kicked in and now she didn't feel sexy at all. She made sure she had her comfy slippers and plenty of clean undies that were high-waisted. She didn't think she'd ever wear a thong again.

Not that it really mattered if she had sexy things anymore. Rafe had seen her at her worst, and he'd give her a back rub since it was impossible to really have sex at the moment. Which she thought would be the key to getting her to the hospital. Of course, he'd just laugh and bring her a bottle of cold water.

Actually, she hadn't felt the baby kick, and she was worried. Oh, everything worried her. She hadn't slept in days. Of course, Rafe told her she snored on the couch everyday sitting up while trying to catch up why Jenna wasn't on Jenna and Friends.

And then while she was on the phone walking around in her bedroom with her cell, a gush of water came out of nowhere. It was hard to believe she had anything to do with it, but it felt as if she was in a lake of water and she yelled for Rafe. She threw the phone to the bed.

He came in and saw how she was dripping in the extra-large maxi tank she'd gotten on her last trip to 5 Below. She looked at him miserable. He grabbed her phone and the bag and then her. He told Gabby they were going to the hospital before he hung up.

"I don't feel a thing," she told him.

They got to the car as the rain poured. It would have to be raining, she thought. There was no time to change. Their baby boy was coming. She hoped he looked like a Colin.
