Freaky dicky star speckles and pink butterflies

"What is this?" Darry scowled. He felt like Shaggy and the gang had found them. Was June back?

They were talking at once. Nico, whom he hardly knew, came off like a low-life, misunderstood Pete Davidson. Suddenly, Nico was a cool and caring friend. Darry looked at him blankly. Still, he didn't know why Junie would be with him. Darry sighed, trying to move his cart of books along.

"This is not June!" Nico finally clarified over the dark haired girl's voice. She was certainly a double. Or was it the fact that Junie was her doppleganger?

She needed to find Connor. Darry's face tensed. There was a tiredness behind his eyes. He couldn't sleep lately. All he could think of was Junie. Of course, Cat always showed up in the end telling him he deserved better. Why couldn't life be simple?

"Has anyone called the police?" He wished he hadn't yelped because he could sense alarmed patrons, and this was not the place to discuss what was going on with Junie and Connor.

Nico looked at Jude, who said the police had asked if she was Junie.

Darry thought his stomach dropped. He might shit himself, but he kept his cool with a straight lip. "I have to work. I can't deal with this right now. I don't know where she is. We..we broke up around Christmas."

Still, he couldn't help but look at Jude so distraught and thin.

"Look bro, I didn't mean to mess up your day. It could sex trafficing you know," Nic's two cents worth didn't set well with Daryy.

"Hell, I'd be fired about now if it wasn't for being so shorthanded at the Coffee Shop," Nico sounded as if he might wash his hands of this right now. "I gotta get back before Millie goes psycho."

Nico stepped back, saying he'd find his own way back.

"Hey, wait a minute, you got my number?" Darry looked at him as if he could be his friend.

Suddenly, all three got out their phones to keep in touch.
