How's it gonna feel

how's it gonna feel...

Omaha got a card from Blackie, too. Amazingly, it got to Omaha's new address around Christmas.

Of course, it didn't set well with him. He felt Minnie was more his family than Blackie would ever be.

"Why is he? Such an ass?" He asked Taylor who was trying to help him with his patio door. Omaha was trying to find a way to make it look better and some shade on it. They put a sliding shutters in front of the patio door in the diningroom. Maybe they'd have a party yet, but he was sure Sheena didn't want a New Year's gathering. She was still pretty tired from taking care of Minnie's kids.

"Some people are born that way." Taylor shrugged, mentioning he had his own family feud to deal with ..with the two dads in his life (one biological and the other who raised him). He was happy to stay home this Christmas. "Just don't let it get to you. Sometimes, they'll figure it out."

Omaha nodded, wishing he could do something for Minnie and Josh.

In the next breath Taylor was telling him he had a chance to move to Colorado or Iowa.

"What?" Omaha winced at the horrible news. "Why?"

"I can be closer to the company. Make some money." Taylor shrugged.

"What about Sara? What's she gonna do?" Omaha didn't like this one little bit.

"She'll stay home with Cohan." He told him. "She thinks Colorado has more to offer, but the cost of living is better in Iowa and we can still visit our folks and you guys, anytime." He sounded it wouldn't be that big of a deal.

"But..but what about..the house?" Omaha wanted to know.

"Oh, we'll keep it." Taylor told him. "Josh will be able to rent it."

Omaha watched him even lipped. He didn't know what to say. Finally, he gave his best friend a hug. He was gonna miss him.
