could you love somebody like me
Cody thought he might be dreaming. Instead, it felt as if his world was upside down.
1. For starters, he didn't have girls over even if Liam didn't believe him.
2. This was the first time he could ever remember ever wanting to hit pause on his life.
3. He didn't have sex with Bom. Yet, he couldn't wait to kiss her, but wanted to wait until a good time to do it.
4. She made him want to stay home, as long as she was there.
Of course, he wasn't one to acknowledge these things.
"Thanksgiving isn't a big deal, anyway." He didn't celebrate it on the Rez. Even if they did celebrate it was a kool aid party with vodka. Everyone would get so stinking drunk. Black Friday was just for hangovers.
Actually, he'd been cold to the girl who wanted to bring him home to her parents. He just couldn't go through with it. Didn't she know he was doing her a favor?
"Maybe, we could just go to..to Natalie and Joons?" It was a bit of an after thoughts, but they could have the Thanksgiving leftovers.
"I think they were going to a movie." She shrugged as if she didn't want to budge. "And, and you aren't feeling well."
Cody nodded, but that really wasn't true. He tasted the warm tangy ginger lemon water. It was so foreign to his system. A lot like Bom.
"You wouldn't have another name, would you?" He didn't want to tell her it felt he was calling her Bomb and that wasn't a very good name to shout these days.
She only smiled and shook her head no. She asked if he'd like to have the rest of the soup she made.
His stomach growled. Maybe she knew him, after all.
