what's a guy to do?
Sid was grateful to have a friend like Micah. Although, he knew they didn't have that much in common. He wasn't sure how he would handle being a new father. Still, he hated to see Micah in this state. Evidently, he didn't trust Sally. Maybe he never did.
"What has you worried the most?" Sid asked as if this sort of information he'd have to remember himself someday if he ever had a girlfriend. He couldn't say his blind date was that memorable. It was as if he went along for the ride with his brother and his girlfriend.
"I..I never thought about it before." Micah didn't seem sad about it, but still indifferent as he looked at his mug. "I guess I'm gullible, after all. Back then, when I first met Sally, I couldn't imagine anybody else in her life, but me. Now, I wish I'd been smarter." He told Sid about being in a band and how hard it was to stay on a busy schedule. "She ruined it for me."
Sid winced, thinking Micah shouldn't blame Sally on his dead-end past in music.
"We spent too much time together when I should have been with the band." Micah sighed. Now he wondered who else Sally had been with.
"What..what if the baby's not even mine?" His words were so troubled and Sid was certain he hadn't a clue how to console him.
