Spring turns to spring
It would be a boy come late April. Honestly, Omaha didn't know how he'd get through this. It was as if the house was in transition. And all Sheena wanted to do was have protein shakes and watch K-dramas. Seriously, he'd never seen her this way.
"You know, I'd rather have a DQ treat," Sheena informed him she was doing her best to look out for the child. She'd made friends with some of Minnie's friends. She'd taken to learning all she could for baby care. "What have you done?"
He was truly stoic as he always was. He gave her a shrugged. It felt as if they might as well have lived in Alaska instead of Nebraska with winter in full throttle. Even when the rain came followed by harsh winds, it chilled him to the bone.
Of course, his best friend Taylor along with Josh they kept giving him info over the phone on how to take care of Sheena these days. So he learned to cook meals that were for eating for two and managed to keep the kitchen picked up and wiped down to keep the germs away. He'd found out from Taylor that his wife was an essential oils rep. Before he knew it, he'd bought in on all sorts of deals he knew they didn't need, but Sheena didn't see why not. Weren't they practically helping out family?
Besides, she made it sound they were back to being homegrown in the city. Omaha wasn't sure he was sold on the idea but he continued to be what everyone said to be. And he was beginning to like it. He was ready to be a dad.
