Joon was not amused with Bom's request for her summer vacation.
"Don't you know, Nat could have her baby any day." He shook his head. He'd come to count on Cass and Bom to be here at the Campus coffee shop. He'd started a second job as a computer programmer, at night.
He was so tired, but somehow he managed. He wanted to give Natalie more, and now this. Why did he ever think she would change.
Bom only nodded but she didn't argue. She didn't have anything to say. She was straight lipped.
Joon didn't like being this guy, but he was the boss now. And he needed reliable people to help him at the coffee shop.
He wasn't sure where his own life was going. He was stressed, possibly depressed. He didn't want Natalie to know, but he felt like the biggest loser.
They didn't have a house. Only recently had he gotten the used car from the campus used car lot.
Life was a big unknown and these new challenges had left him a little bitter.
He didn't want to hear anymore about Bom's big idea of summer adventure.
