Push come to shove
Nothing seemed to be working right lately. Diago looked over his shoulder and could see that look of despair on Char's face. He gritted, thinking he was the worst.
The patio door wouldn't lock. Of course, he had Cole over to help along with the roomies, trying to figure out what to do. He was even using a file to see if he could make the hole bigger for the piece of metal to go into to lock, but something was slightly off.
"Maybe, one of the rollers broke," Cole shrugged as if that didn't help.
Diago winced hard. He knew they couldn't afford an expensive patio door. No telling, how old this one was, perhaps from the seventies or older. Diago let out a breath, thinking this was getting old. The place was a money pit. How in the world would they ever get ahead?
Diago nursed his bottom lip. At this rate, they'd never get married. They'd never start a family. He was downright useless like everyone said.
"Lets, just lift the door up off the rail and put it back down," Diago said before he could think anymore.
Here he and Char were on a day off and couldn't go anywhere just because of this door. Naturally, she'd said they should call someone, but he didn't want to unless he absolutely had too.
So Diago, Cole and Sid pushed the heavy glass door up and popped it back down on the metal rail. Like butter, the door slid into place and locked with no grief.
Diago sighed. He knew he needed to thank someone. He looked at his watch, it was almost eleven in the morning.
"I think it's time for a beer," he smiled. Cole nodded and so did Sid.
