about that brother of mine
"My brother is strange..." Chance started but wished he hadn't. After all, he'd only called Rosie because he missed her voice.
"Well, everything is strange," Rosie told him even last week wasn't nearly as bad as this week with the Stay At Home restriction. Even then she hadn't came out on the porch when Chance stood in the yard just to see her. They didn't know how frightening this whole pandemic would get.
"Maybe..maybe it's just I'm handling all this better than he is," Chance sighed.
The library was closed, but he still went to get backdrop which meant cleaning down the books to be double-checked a few days later on a cart. He was stuck with inventory too.
"What's wrong?" Rosie hoped his brother wasn't sick.
"Well, supposedly he's in isolation with Lyn," Chance said feeling he was in a ghost-like setting living in the walk-in basement with all the comforts of home, except without people. His brother had managed to have a fridge full of food, along with an air-fryer and snacks.
"Isolation?" Her question sounded like something from a SyFy TV show.
"He's being weird with L." That's all he actually knew.
Still, he'd never see Casey so intense with one individual. It was if his world would totally end without her. And all this time Chance thought his brother was only interested in guys. Evidently, not.
