Don't get me started

Ste hadn't seen this coming. True, the bakery was open to customers now. Only, there was less seating, so it was to go orders, but still people showed up wanting more than scones or a breakfast sandwich. Someone was asking for Amira.

For a second, Ste didn't want to call her to the counter. It was a guy. Instantly, Ste was jealous. He couldn't imagine someone wanting Amira. Not his Amira. Not someone so striking.

She talked to him for a short while and he bought a pastry and was on his way.

"Who was that?" Ste wanted to know when things quietened down.

"Alfie," she said.

"Alfie?" Ste winced hard. "How-" He was full of questions, but wasn't sure he really wanted to know.

"He used to be at the Uni, but then he left. He's back now," Amira shrugged as she restocked the glass counter of goodies.

Ste nodded, trying not to be too curious, and yet he was.

"So what did he want?" Ste couldn't help but to scrunch his face with the idea that he was Amira's old beau. Although, she'd never mentioned one. This dark haired prince didn't seem to be the nerdy sort, either.

"He was asking about Linsey," she told him.

"Linsey?" Ste breathed a sigh of relief.

"She used to tutor him." Amira nodded.

Ste nodded, hoping he didn't run into this dude again.
