I'm pretty stable

Simon knew Xander should have been back home celebrating Father's day with his crew, but his brother stayed with him instead. Xander even made him breakfast. Yes, it was true Xander his brother was the best father he'd ever known.

Really, Simon thought he would be OK on his own. He'd adjust. He didn't need much. He wasn't a baby like Xander thought. Honestly, he did have a grip on things. He had a credit card and he could make ends meet, somehow. It might take some time, but he'd figure it out. Of course, when he'd wanted to say all this to Xander, Xander was on the phone. Evidently, it was serious by the look on his face.

"What happened? Simon was wide awake now as if he was part of this family after all, not some solo, half showing up sibling.

"It's Ivy," Xander told him that Noah called.

"What?" He hadn't heard his friend's name in forever, and they were so close in high school, back when they knew everything about each other.

"She's missing," Xander said Noah saw it on the news.

"Are you sure?" Simon shook his head, no. How could that be? Of course, he hadn't seen her in so long. "But..but she..she's got a baby and..and isn't she with Brian?"

Xander only shrugged.

Simon felt himself melt into tears. He shook his head, no. He didn't want to believe this.

He sighed, wishing they'd kept in touch. Why hadn't they kept in touch?

Xander didn't have a thing to say to console him. Simon wanted to punch the wall. He needed more information. How did something like this happen?
