all that matters

Bom felt terribly old. Perhaps it was the long drive. She'd found such comfort in driving all the way to Rapid City. Maybe she could have done it in her sleep. Yet she felt so restless, wondering what she could really do for Ivy.

But Ivy was quiet and she was thrilled to see Keanu even if Brian couldn't speak. Bom knew he hated being here.

She felt torn. She knew she should be on Brian's side yet she knew in her heart who's real side she was on...Keanu.

She left the two alone. Outside she spoke to Iona and Micah and thanked them. They talked a little about what they'd heard on the news, but they had no idea it was Ivy.

Bom pressed her lips tight thinking it was all over now. Yet she wasn't sure what to expect. And she guessed it was too early for Ivy to decide what to do. After all, she'd been through so much questioning.

Bom peeked in to see the two cuddling. She guessed she would try to find Brian and see if she could console him. He was no where in sight as Bom looked around. She felt as if it were some sort of game, looking at the hidden family rooms and waiting areas. They were cozy and homey.

She then heard voices. Brian was talking to someone which was so unexpected. Brian was not a social animal.

As she turned the corner she saw a familiar face. She stopped in her tracks. It was as if she'd hit an invisible wall. It was Cody and he was in a wheel chair.
