just like that
Steve didn't know how to react to this. Although, he should have expected this of Alfie. After all, he knew his old roommate's track record with sleepovers.
He winced hard wondering how did his friend do it? Was he a Cassanova of some kind? Was he that great in bed? Why of why did he have to sleep with Melissa.
"I so doubt they slept at all," was Simon's take on it. Of course, Steve stayed over at Simon's but they played video games and he'd slept on the couch. That was nothing compared to Alfie staying over at Melissa's.
"This..this is just so wrong!" Steve squeezed a couch pillow out of frustration.
"There isn't much you can do about it," Simon got Steve more coffee. He still looked sleepy and didn't care what happened to Alfie nor Melissa. "Don't tell me you're in love with Alfie."
"Shut the back door!" Steve squinted harder. He was ready to throw the pillow at Simon, but he didn't. "I have to work with her, you know."
"So." Simon just didn't get it. "People are going to do what they feel like doing." Simon tilted his head as if Steve better just let it go and stop being such a worrywart.
"But..but it's just," Steve couldn't help but care. Alfie was an old friend, but he hated a lot of his habits. "He just got back from Denmark and does something crazy like this. Sleeping with the first girl he meets."
Simon plopped next to Steve on the couch. Instantly Steve felt the heat of his existence, but he couldn't scoot away. Steve pushed himself forward and took the black coffee.
"Oh, Steve, you are just..."
"Just what?" Steve looked over at him blankly.
"So nieve," Simon said maybe they both wanted the same thing. "It's just sex."
Steve cringed at the thought. Actually, he felt sad for Simon. Was that all it was to him, too?
