Amira was beginning to realize what her friend Lynsey was talking about. Of course, Lynsey was a whole lot more experienced in taking risks than Amira. After all, Amira worried about sandwiches for a good long while. She had no time for love while she was experimenting with bread and sandwich fixings in the kitchen. Yes, evidently she was a late bloomer.
Oh, she could see Ste was being quiet at night, but during the daytime there was fun with all those little adventures that came with the bakery. Like trying to make do with what they had for supplies. What could they make that people would want to come back for more.
But it was different when they were home. She wondered if he wanted her around, sometimes. But he was quaint and she would knead his shoulders until he practically nodded off in front of the TV. She liked his warmth and his laughter.
Of course, she wasn't sure she knew of a special recipe for them to be as close as they might be in a romance novel.
"I think you need some mommy porn books," Lynsey suggested. Naturally, Amira was stumped when she read this from a text. Lynsey checked up on her daily.
Amira got a little bug-eyed wondering what she'd missed out on. In the next TEXT Lynsey sent her a link. It was free. Some story on WATTPAD.
Amira cringed after the first paragraph. The men in these stories might as well be from the World's Wrestling Federation. It was a little too much for her. Besides, she'd rather have her Manga - Love and Redemption, any day.
Of course, even Ste was amused by what Lynsey had sent her. Naturally, Amira shied away, hoping he didn't think....
Instead, he said nothing. Told her she was adorable and gave her a hug.
It's interesting how the bakery brought Amira and Ste together but in some ways keeps them apart: "After all, Amira worried about sandwiches for a good long while. She had no time for love while she was experimenting with bread and sandwich fixings in the kitchen. Yes, evidently she was a late bloomer." Yet despite using the sandwiches as an excuse (so funny, by the way), Amira obviously wants more from her marriage. Maybe the mommy porn isn't such a bad idea!
ReplyDeleteInnocent Amira.
ReplyDeleteDear friend! Very interseting story. Thanks for sharing. I think Amira worries so many things! But she is a good person and very innocent.
ReplyDeleteAmira seems to worry about things she doesn't need to worry about.
ReplyDeleteVery fine
ReplyDeleteHola! un post muy bueno. Besos
ReplyDeleteIt seems the bakery keeps them pretty busy. All the other things will gradually get worked out. Amira should stop worrying1
ReplyDeleteIf Amira isn't feeling that kind of fiction, no need to force herself. Anyway, she's an interesting character.
ReplyDeleteI loved the approach of the two. I don't think her innocence is a big problem
