I'm taking everything I see as a sign

 Was she on something? Yuki was quiet about this discovery of Remi. Not that she wanted to go back to the drugstore again. It was a few days later that she got up the nerve to ask Em is she knew her.

"Oh, just..you know, at the drugstore." Em shrugged it off while she was scrambling eggs and toasting toast.

"You know, who she is, don't you?" Yuki looked at her as if how could she forget who she was.

"Yeah, I know. It's just, she..she's really helpful." Em remained even-lipped. She would not say Remi's name.

"What do you mean?" Yuki wanted to know at breakfast. It was just the two of them. Axton always left early for work and seldom joined them for breakfast.

"Oh, well..she knows about the baby." Em looked at Yuki as if it felt better to tell her about Remi.

"She does?" This was news to Yuki. Of course, there was a lot on her mind these days. Amy stayed the weekends with them now. Beth was always aloof. They even had to talk to Stan (Amy's dad) about how Beth was leaving them to entertain her. But he was pleasant enough. It was as if he felt better if Amy was with them instead of Beth.

"We..we had a conversation," Em said about Remi.  "It's like, she knew and..well, I think she's glad we're together." Em nodded.

Yuki went on with breakfast before it got cold. Could somebody like Remi be looking out for both of them? A part of her wished she had somebody's advice about Amy's situation. She knew Melissa nor Riley would be any help. 

Of course, there were Brandon and Declan who were at least engaged. Naturally, she wondered if it would ever happen with her and Em. Yes, sometimes, it felt like an eternity for anything to happen and yet to find out Remi was still around, and friends with Em too was like finding out something strange was among them.
