"I dunno, I just dunno," Finn shook his head. "I really wish I knew what was going on with her?"

Boone and Finn were looking through Finn's old records after dinner. Boone smiled when he came across THE MOTELS album.

"What are you doing with this?" He held it up and said he remembered his mother had it. He remembered how his sister Oakley liked to dress all glamorously and act out the song. It was her favorite "Only the Lonely." Boone asked if she listened to it. Finn shook his head, no.

"She was so glum, even before Alfie's wedding," Finn told him.

"Well, you know how she is. She hates everything," Boone shrugged about the matter. He hoped he didn't hurt Finn's feelings. After all, Finn was his brother-in-law. "Maybe she needs a vacation."

Finn sighed. He said it took most of his savings for their wedding trip. It couldn't happen again for a while. "And we are busy with the orchestra."

"Yeah, things are pretty bad these days," Boone agreed. "Do you think she's pregnant?"

"What?" Finn looked as if Boone said something crazy. "No," he winced with a laugh. He said she didn't want to have kids for a while.

"Well, I've kind of been there, sorry if I sound like a broken record," Boone looked up to see Lily and Oakley in a lively conversation about some site they liked to go to about fashion. "I don't know what to tell you. I think maybe she might want to get a check-up, just because it's the new year. A good way to stay healthy."

Finn nodded as if he'd take it into consideration. 

"She's been moody since she was three, or so mom says," Boone remembered how she could be so cold. He didn't know if she'd been mental all this time or just being the Oakley he knew. "I won't say it's been a love-hate relationship or anything. I just got used to how she is. I hope you can too."

Boone sighed. He didn't want to have to worry about his sister's troubles. After all, things were looking better with Lily. They'd gone to a doctor's appointment together about birth control. They were both going to have a better new year, but in the coming months, they would just be dating and taking a break from sex while Lily got on birth control.
